Virtual Tours, Videos, and Slideshows… Oh My!

What is the difference between these three products that the VSI Group offers?

A VIRTUAL TOUR is a collection of still photos uploaded to a virtual tour hosting website. The VSI Group has our own hosting website at www.VSItours.com. Companies such as FMLS, Trulia, and GAMLS also have hosting websites. The purpose of a virtual tour is to showcase a property, via still photos, for a potential buyer, investor, or renter. Here is an example of one of our virtual tours.

A VIDEO SLIDESHOW is similar to a virtual tour, in that it uses still photos, however, slideshows are displayed on social media sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Instagram. FMLS is very particular about accepting the use of slideshows because of agent branding issues. Other MLS sites such as realtor.com, GAMLS, Trulia, and the like readily welcome slideshows. The purpose of a slideshow is the same as that of a virtual tour, to showcase a property, via still photos, for a potential buyer, investor, or renter. Slideshows receive more international exposure because of their social media presence. Here are two examples of a classic and modern video slideshow.

Moving footage is used to create a  LIVE-ACTION VIDEO.  Rather than combining multiple still images, as in virtual tours and slideshows, a live-action video is made by using a seamless reel of live footage.  The VSI Group uses top-of-the-line equipment to capture HD footage that will bring the home to life. The purpose of a live-action video is similar to that of a slideshow or a virtual tour, however it uses live footage to showcase a property for a potential buyer, investor, or renter. Here are three examples of a live-action video. This first video showcases a large estate. The second video is of a mid-range million dollar house. The third video is of a typical single-family home.
